Kenyon Laboratories has been building the Kenyon Gyro Stabilizer for almost fifty years. Initially designed to keep binoculars steadily on
target from a pitching ship, the units are also now used for medium format cameras, cinematographers and even NASA.
Using the Gyro Stabilizer on a camera, one can obtain clear crisp shots from unusual situations, from a plane or helicopter our units will dampen
out the motor and rotor vibration. When shooting at low light levels one can get large format pictures with slower shutter speeds or slower film
, without the encumbrance of a tripod.
We build five different sizes of gyros, all relating to the weight of the equipment to be stabilized. The units are available for sale or rent through
our lab and some retailers.
The units attach to the camera by its tripod recess. We have binocular adapters for both barrel binocs, as well as the modern pivot binocs.
When the tripod is unacceptable, and handheld is blurry, our invisible tripod makes the job much easier, with
much less waste of film, and a much greater success rate.
Attached to a camera or binoculars our Gyro
Stabilizers dampen out motor and rotor vibrations permitting lower shutter speeds, longer lenses providing greater clarity and
improved recognitions range with complete freedom of movement!
