This 12 volt inverter can attach to either the KS-2 or KS-4 gyros. Positive and negative wires can be attached to a 12 volt battery for your power source. Please see item descriptions for both the KS-2 and KS-4 with attached inverters (codes KS2A or KS4A)for a full description of applications and other options. Inverter is made out of aluminum that has been anodized and measures 2.25" x 2.25" x 2.25" and weighs less than 1/4 pound. Four 2-56 screws hold the box onto the gyro using the holes on the sides of the area where the nameplate and gyro cord are usually attached. If you have one of our older cast aluminum gyros, you won't have these holes, but the gyro can be drilled and tapped, which we can do for you since it must be done carefully. We can provide specs if you insist on doing it yourself. You must be able to solder the 2 green wires onto the gyro yourself or you may send your unit in and we will attach it for you at no extra cost with your purchase of the inverter.
